one of my favorite places in new haven. always the perfect cozy spot to read a book or do work, love the book selection, the sandwiches are amazing. my only wish is that the coffee were actually any good. but still always a treat to come here!

One of my favorite places in new haven. Part coffee shop, part used book store, part (human) greenhouse. There's no type of room I like more than one that has windows for walls, so I might be partial to this building. The staff is really nice, they have hundreds and hundreds of books on everything- I love to come in and browse before working. Food is pretty good, good variety of options and can fit your dietary needs.

This is the perfect place to get a coffee or with a breakfast sandwich. I got the bacon egg and cheese with a hot Chai and wasn’t disappointed. My chai was frothy and my bacon egg and cheese was very delicious and felt like there was though put into the meal. It was very busy the day I went but they still managed to be calm and I didn’t wait any longer than 10 minutes.

Beautiful location, amazing food (I recommend the tempesto extra vinaigrette to everyone), and I can’t say how wonderful the owner is. I’ve known them for years and they put care into every aspect of their business. A true gem to New Haven

Extremely comfortable and vibey cafe. A must go for anyone who just wants excellent, and extremely affordable coffee and bagels. Free water is provided and the staff were extremely friendly. Theres are tonnes of books on the shelves as well for you to browse through.

One word: Frankenchai. Maybe the best chai I've ever had, quite possibly the best drink I've ever had. The folks at Book Trader are doing it the right way. A never miss establishment.

It’s my first time in New Haven! While exploring the Yale campuses, I stumbled upon this lovely café surrounded by books and a beautiful patio. I ordered a cappuccino—the service was really friendly and the place is super cozy. If I ever come back to New Haven, I’d love to visit again.

What a cute little find, right across from the university. Great place for drinks and studying. The servers were really nice and great with custom orders. And boy are they fast, i had dei k in my hand in less than 5 minutes. Loved it!
